After Effects Keyframes
  1. Create a new composition.
  2. Click and hold the icon to the left of the pen tool (this is usually a rectangle). Choose the Polygon Tool.

  1. Click and drag in the Composition panel to draw a polygon.
  2. This will create a Shape Layer
  3. Click the triangle next to Polystar 1; then click the triangle next to Polystar Path 1.
  4. Click the stopwatch next to Outer Roundness. Any property with a stopwatch can be animated. Clicking the stopwatch automatically sets a keyframe at the current time indicator.
  5. Move the current time indicator. Change the Outer Roundness to 1040. This will set a new keyframe at the current time indicator.
  6. Move the current time indicator. Change the Outer Roundness to -300.
  7. Play the animation. After Effects automatically animates between the keyframes.
  8. Create more polygons and animate the following properties:
    1. In Polystar path:
i. Points
ii. Position
iii. Rotation
iv. Outer Radius
v. Try changing the Type from Polygon to Star; then animating Points and Roundness
  1. In Fill 1:
i. Color
ii. Opacity
  1. Preview the animations
  2. Save and turn in the After Effects project.
